Our Organization
Founded in 2022, CannaBuffs is the premier cannabis club at CU Boulder. We were established to fill a critical gap in cannabis education on campus. While Colorado was the first state to legalize recreational cannabis, we noticed a lack of accessible resources and conversations about the cannabis industry at CU Boulder.​
CannaBuffs was born out of this need and the overwhelming interest from our peers who were eager to learn more about cannabis culture, industry, and community. Our organization serves as a hub where students curious about the plant or passionate about the industry can explore their interests in a supportive and educational environment.
As a registered student organization, we proudly operate within CU Boulder’s Student Code of Conduct and adhere to all State and Federal laws. Through interactive events, partnerships with industry leaders, and a growing network of professionals, CannaBuffs is redefining what it means to include cannabis culture within campus life.

Networking Opportunities
As a non-profit organization, we have a stronger platform to advocate for our members' interests, expand networking opportunities, and collaborate with a broader range of industry partners. As a Recognized Student Organization (RSO), CU Boulder acknowledges Cannabuffs as a legitimate resource for students to explore the multifaceted nature of cannabis through inquiry, a supportive community, and educational opportunities with professionals, researchers, and entrepreneurs in the industry.
demystifying Cannabis
As responsible student leaders, we do not promote or distribute cannabis for use or consumption by our members. Instead, we emphasize mindful consumption practices by fostering an understanding of what a healthy relationship with the plant can look like. By setting a positive example, we aim to bring conversations about cannabis out of the taboo and gray areas, creating a space where members can thoughtfully evaluate its role in their lives without fear of judgment. Our organization is open to all students, regardless of age or background, to ensure equal opportunities for learning and community engagement.
